Over 2,300 Students, Parents and Educators Attend Student Leadership Series Events in Arizona

An estimated 2,376 students, parents and educators attended USHLI Student Leadership Series (SLS) events held in Tucson at Cholla High Magnet School and Pueblo Magnet High School. USHLI is very grateful for the leadership and cooperation provided by Holly Colonna, director of guidance counseling and student services/prevention programs at the Tucson Unified school district The events featured Jaime Carias, a nationally prominent motivational speaker who is a favorite among students of all ages from middle school to college. Our SLS Honorary Co-Chair, The United States Army, brought opening remarks. The SLS is USHLI's flagship youth program.  The program is designed to motivate students to improve their academic performance, graduate and pursue some level of post-secondary education.  An estimated 76,691 have been served to date this year in 15 states.
