Dr. Juan Andrade,
USHLI President, delivered the Commencement Address to the graduating Class
of 2014 at George Washington High School. He was introduced by Andres
Sosa, President of the Senior Class. Special remarks were delivered by
the Valedictorian, Alvaro Villarreal, and the Salutatorian, Abigail
Villegas. The event was held at the House of Hope.
The event was one
of congratulations all around. Over 3,000 parents, guardians, and
relatives were congratulated for their unconditional love and support of the
graduating seniors. Over 300 graduating seniors were congratulated for
successfully completing their high school education. The dedicated
faculty and staff were congratulated. And Dr. Kevin Gallick and Mr.
Anthony Malcolm, the Principal and Assistant Principal, respectively, and the
entire leadership team were especially congratulated. It is said that
the healthiest human emotion is gratitude and gratitude filled the air
throughout the auditorium.
USHLI has reached
over 500,000
middle school and high school students in nearly 30 states through its
Student Leadership Series. Tens of thousands of these students
graduated this month and USHLI congratulates all the graduates for
successfully completing this first phase of their education and wishes them
all the best in their post-secondary pursuits.
