Raul Magdaleno, regarded by many as one of the top motivational speakers in the nation, will be the featured speaker at the launch of the 2015 Student Leadership Series (SLS). The SLS, USHLI's flagship student leadership development program, will reach over 150,000 middle school, high school, and college students, parents, and educators in over 20 states in the coming year.
The launch of the 2015 SLS will be at 10:00am on Thursday, February 12, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers in Chicago, IL. In addition to hearing Raul Magdaleno, whose high-energy, powerful and inspiring message always resonates well with students and educators, students will attend a Career and College Recruitment Fair and attend breakout sessions on How to Finance your Post-secondary Education or Training and Learning Basic Life and Leadership Skills. Over 3,000 students, parents and educators are expected to attend.
Raul Magdaleno, a graduate of Southern Methodist University (Dallas), was voted the National Latino Leader of the Year by MillerCoors, and in the same year was voted and named the 2010 One Man Dallas. He was honored by the Congress of the United States which presented him the Congressional Gold Medal for his work in promoting education and leadership. Raul has spoken to millions of people across the country as a champion for higher education and has been featured as a special guest on CNN, Univision, and NBC among many other broadcasts and print publications.
