Over 950 Students and Educators Attend Student Leadership Series Event in Texas
An estimated 956 students and educators attended a USHLI Student Leadership Series (SLS) event held in Brownwood, TX.  USHLI is very grateful for the leadership and cooperation provided by more than 20 school districts that brought students to the event. Recruiters representing 19 vocational and technical schools, junior colleges, 4-year academic institutions, corporations, and branches of the military participated in the Career and College Recruitment Fair and over $45,000 in scholarships were awarded.

The event featured nationally prominent motivational speaker, Raul Magdaleno, who is a favorite among students of all ages from middle school to college as well as professionals. A Life and Leadership Skills workshop was presented by Jaime Carias. Our SLS Honorary Co-Chair, The United States Army, brought opening remarks.
  
The program is designed to motivate students to improve their academic performance, graduate and pursue some level of post-secondary education.  An estimated
