Over 4,800 attend Student Leadership Series Events in Cicero, IL
An estimated 4,830 students and educators attended USHLI Student Leadership Series (SLS) events held in Cicero, IL.  USHLI is very grateful for the leadership and cooperation provided by administrators at Morton East High School, the Freshman Center, and Unity Jr. High School that hosted events.

The featured speaker was Roy Juarez, Jr., one of the top motivational speakers in the nation and a favorite among students of all ages from middle school to college.  Our guest speaker was Zenaida Lorenzo, who recently joined the USHLI team.

The SLS is USHLI's flagship youth program.  Our goal in 2014 is to serve 200,000 students, parents, and educators in 30 states and help in Creating a Culture of Education.  The program is designed to motivate students to improve their academic performance, graduate and pursue some level of post-secondary education.  An estimated 71,141 have been served to date this year in 10 states.

The SLS program focuses on Stay-in-School Rallies for middle school and high school students, Career & College Recruitment FairsRegional Leadership Summits for college students, Parent Involvement Workshopsfor parents, and Professional Development for educators.
