McDonald's-USHLI Series of Student Leadership Summits Continues in
Los Angeles, CA
McDonald's and USHLI continued its 2014 series of Student Leadership Summits in Los Angeles, CA.  The event, held at John C. Fremont High School, was attended by approximately 1,600 students, teachers and counselors.

The event featured two nationally prominent motivational speakers, Carlos Ojeda, Jr. and Ernesto Mejia from CoolSpeak, and a Career and College Recruitment Fair.  The Career and College Recruitment Fair featured a Study Lounge sponsored by McDonald's, where students received useful information on scholarships and preparing for college. Twelve (12) recruiters representing post-secondary institutions at every level participated.  Complimentary apple slices, yogurt and water were served.

Mr. Victor Quiroz, a local McDonald's owner/operator, addressed the students as well.  USHLI is very grateful to the entire team at John C. Fremont High School for their leadership and invaluable assistance.  USHLI also appreciates McDonald's generous sponsorship of this series of Student Leadership Summits.
The SLS is USHLI's flagship youth program.  The program is designed to motivate students to improve their academic performance, graduate and pursue some level of post-secondary education.  An estimated 87,863 have been served to date this year in 15 states.
