Nearly 1,300 Students and Educators Attend Student Leadership Series Events in Colorado

An estimated 1,294 students and educators attended USHLI's Student Leadership Series (SLS) events held in Pueblo, CO.  USHLI is very grateful for the leadership and cooperation provided by administrators at the participating middle and high schools that hosted an event. The featured speaker was Gabe Salazar, one of the top motivational speakers in the nation and a favorite among students of all ages from middle school to college.          The SLS is USHLI's flagship youth program. Our goal in 2014 is to serve 200,000 students, parents, and educators in 30 states and help in Creating a Culture of Education.  The program is designed to motivate students to improve their academic performance, graduate and pursue some level of post-secondary education.  An estimated 54,264 have been served to date this year in 10 states. The SLS program focuses on Stay-in-School Rallies for middle school and high school students, Career & College Recruitment Fairs, Regional Leadership Summits for college students, Parent Involvement Workshops for parents,and Professional Development for educators.
