Over
900 Students Attend Student Leadership Series event in Raleigh, NC
|
USHLI's
Student Leadership Series (SLS) continued its spring campaign with a
successful partnership event with the North Carolina Society of
Hispanic Professionals in Raleigh, NC. USHLI co-sponsored the
NCSHP's Hispanic Educational Summit. Now in its 15th year, the
event included a motivational session, workshops on life skills,
education planning, and career planning, and 36 exhibitors representing
post-secondary institutions, community organizations, and branches of the
military.
The featured
speaker was Andres Lara, The Cuban Guy, a nationally prominent motivational
speaker and a favorite among high school and college students. USHLI is
very grateful to Marco Zarate, president and co-founder, for the
opportunity to co-sponsor this outstanding program.
